The Dean of Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), Professor Roque Brandão, and the Internationalisation Adviser, Professor Gustavo Alves, met at the Embassy of Portugal in Germany with Ambassador Madalena Fisher, Minister-Counsellor Carlos Brito, and the Trade and Investment Manager of the Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (AICEP), Mariana Gomes.
The meeting aimed to establish and strengthen contacts with German higher education institutions and companies, creating new opportunities for cooperation in teaching and research.
Following the meeting, future activities involving ISEP have already been scheduled, in coordination with the Embassy of Portugal in Germany, further strengthening links with academic and business partners in the country.
The visit is part of ISEP’s new internationalisation strategy, which focuses on strengthening international networks and creating new opportunities, complementing its participation in the Conference of the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP), an organisation of which ISEP is an institutional member.
Founded in 1972, IGIP brings together engineering education institutions from more than 70 countries, as well as other partners and corporate members, promoting international cooperation and knowledge sharing in the field of engineering education.
