The Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) of the “Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto” (ISEP), in collaboration with the Master’s in Critical Computing Systems Engineering (MESCC), invites to participate in the online seminar "Critical Computing Series: Towards Reliable Distributed Edge-Cloud Applications", that will take place on December 2nd, at 6:30 p.m..
The seminar can be accessed here.
Abstract
The automotive industry is shifting towards software-defined vehicles, requiring new HW and SW architectures. This change allows for greater flexibility in deploying software both in-vehicle and through off-board edge and cloud services. Currently applied to non-critical systems like entertainment, this approach will soon extend to latency- and safety-critical tasks, leading to "Reliable Distributed Systems", enabling complex applications and collaborative vehicle control by integrating onboard and external data sources.
