ISEP and ISPTEC join forces to develop a master's degree in applied engineering in Angola

Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) and Instituto Superior Politécnico de Tecnologias e Ciências (ISPTEC) in Angola have signed a cooperation protocol to strengthen academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions, with a focus on advanced education.

The agreement sets out the terms of cooperation within the framework of ISPTEC’s Master’s program in Applied Engineering and Technologies and promotes the sharing of knowledge, skills, and pedagogical experience between the two institutions. This collaboration aims to contribute to the development of educational programs aligned with the current demands of engineering education and professional practice.

The signing ceremony was attended by a delegation from ISPTEC, led by its President, João Fernando Manuel, and including the Chairman of the Research and Development Center, Orlando da Mata, the General Director of PDA Promotor of ISPTEC, Ivan Fernandes, and the Vice-President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Cirilo Cauxeiro. Representing ISEP-P.PORTO were its President, Maria João Viamonte, and the Advisor for International Relations, Gustavo Alves, highlighting the strategic importance of this partnership for strengthening academic cooperation between Portugal and Angola.

The protocol formalizes a collaboration focused on the advanced qualification of human resources through the joint development of academic and scientific initiatives. Key objectives include promoting excellence in teaching, enhancing students’ skills, and increasing the value of education in engineering and technology.

This agreement represents a significant step in consolidating institutional relations between ISEP and ISPTEC, contributing to the internationalization of higher education and reinforcing connections within the Lusophone space.

Through this partnership, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to knowledge, innovation, and sustainable development, investing in a structured collaboration aimed at academic and scientific excellence.
