Ambassador of Israel opens a new chapter of scientific collaboration with ISEP

Dor Shapira, Ambassador of Israel in Portugal, visited the research group BioMark ISEP. Dor Shapira learned about the ongoing projects of the R&D group, as 2IQBioneuro which is developing biosensors for an early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, and TecniCOV for monitoring antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in serum or saliva samples.

Dor Shapira highlighted the importance of cooperation between companies and universities and the integration of new technologies and prototypes developed in the national and international markets. 

This was the first Ambassador's protocol visit to Porto. Research in health and technology is a priority for Israel, so these visits aim to discover new partners and new synergies between Portugal and Israel.
