ISEP, FEUP, INEGI, LAETA and INESC TEC have joined forces to responde to the needs of healthcare professionals and are developping medical face shields. 

The Portuguese company OLI accepted the challenge to produce this equipment in large-scale and has adapted the first design to plastic injection technology.This new model has two versions (with or without a top cover), depending on the hospital use and of the combination with other protective equipment. 

This project will deliever 20,000 units per week to the Portuguese hospitals. These entities have already produced more than 2,000 face shields.

3D printing technology has been a determining factor in the fight against Covid-19, allowing a quick and effective response to the needs of equipment that support the activity of our healthcare professionals.
