What They Say About Us: Tholkappiyan Deenadayalan

Tholkappiyan Deenadayalan has got 23 years old and was born in Chennai, India. In nowadays, he is currently doing his Masters in Mechanical Engineering in ISEP. He has decided to move to Porto because he expects that ISEP will give him a good platform for his transformation in engineer. In fact, Tholkappiyan is delighted with the Professors of the Institute. A new academic experience and the leaving of his comfort zone is quite good, so the student gives an advice: “Life begin when you step out of your home. Learn and explore new places, people and culture!”.

Why did you choose ISEP to enjoy an international experience?

Firstly, the college’s slogan “Saber Fazer” inspired me which me “Know how to do”. Then I came to know about the College’s Good Reputation in creating good Engineers and that is why I am here.

What are your expectations?

I expect myself to be a good Engineer and I hope this College will give a good platform for that transformation.

So far, what are you loving the most at ISEP?

Lots of smiling faces and ISEP is blessed with best sets of Professors.

What are the main problems that you are facing through?

Few of my classes were not offered in English but almost everyone in ISEP are very supportive so it is not much difficult to overcome those problems.

Is the environmental much different from your country?

Of course, it is a quiet and lovely Environment with a very comfortable weather.

Studying at ISEP means living in Oporto. Are you liking the city?

I Love Porto. People are very friendly and Helpful. The city has a rich History and lot of beautiful places to Admire.

Is this your first time in Portugal? What places did you visit here already?

I didn’t visit much places yet. Have been to Lisbon, Geres and few other places around Porto.

If you get the chance, would you repeat this experience?

Of course, I would love to do so.

Would do you suggest ISEP to other foreign students?

Yes, I would suggest since it is a Good Place to Learn.

What kind of advice would you give to anyone who is thinking to study outside their country?

I would advise them that Life begins when you step out of the Comfort of your Home. Learn and explore new places, people and culture.
