22-06-2017

The MSc of Electrical Engineering – Power Systems from ISEP has succesfully renewed the EUR-ACE quality seal. This accreditation is now valid until 2023.

In this way, ISEP reinforces its leading position in Portugal, holding the largest number of accredited courses with the European quality label for engineering education (six BSc and six MSc).

In Portugal the EUR-ACE processes of accreditation are guided by the Engineers Professional Association.

The EUR-ACE framework and accreditation system provides a set of standards that identifies high quality engineering degree programes in Europe and abroad. This system incorporates views and perspectives of students, higher education institutions, employers, professional organisations and accreditation agencies. It is internationally recognised and facilitates both academic and professional mobility.

With the MSc in Electrical Engineering - Power Systems, ISEP specializes engineers in intelligent energy, electrical grids automation, sustainable production technologies and high power installations design. The course follows international trends, devoting special attention to the challenges and opportunities of liberalized markets and such topics as electric mobility.

The course has a strong practical component, which includes the analysis of case studies, seminars with industry experts and applied research activities. Students can develop their final project in an industrial environment or research group.
