Description:

Stochasticity, nonlinearity and complexity can be found and used in many different fields, including the natural sciences such as mechanics, physics, biology, neuroscience as well as technology and engineering fields such as aeronautics, astronautics, information theory and computer science. How to model the stochastics, for example Brownian motion, Levy process, and fractional Brownian motion et al appears naturally in the modeling of these situations.

This special session welcomes papers dealing with all aspects of nonlinear and/or stochastic systems analysis, characterization problems, stochastic modelling and identification, optimization and control and with related questions in the theory of stochastic processes. The session also welcomes papers concerns with significant applications of nonlinear and/or stochastic theory to problems in engineering systems, the physical and life sciences and other areas.
