Description:
Viscoelastic fluids are abundant in nature and play an important role in our daily lives. Examples include paints, food and plastic products, saliva, DNA, etc. Due to the hereditary properties of fractional operators and of viscoelastic materials, these fractional operators are now a hot topic in the modelling of viscoelasticity. Therefore, the organizers of this session welcome any theoretical and numerical contributions to the topics of fractional viscoelasticity and fluid dynamics.
Topics include (but are not limited to):
- Development of fractional viscoelastic models
- Application of special functions from fractional calculus in the context of fluid dynamics
- Integral and differential constitutive equations
- Analytical solutions (considering classical and fractional operators)
- New numerical methods for fractional viscoelastic flows
- Classical methods and computational fluid dynamics
- Experimental studies with viscoelastic models
