The event will take place in room B401.

Abstract

We will present essential concepts of application security and explore the main risks and vulnerabilities affecting modern applications, including injections, authentication failures, exposure of sensitive data, and other common threats. The goal is to provide a solid foundation for understanding and mitigating application vulnerabilities and to promote more secure development practices.

Pedro Tarrinho, application security specialist at Celfocus, has a diverse development, systems administration, and security background. Holds certifications including: Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. He is a regular speaker at security community events such as OpoSec, OWASP, ISEP, Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design e Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto.
