From February 14 to 16, “Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto” (ISEP) hosted Welcome Week, a biannual event aimed at integrating new international students into our school.

This semester, more than 100 students of 18 nationalities, from three continents and 49 partner higher education institutions, have chosen ISEP to carry out a mobility semester or start their double degree program.

The welcome was given, and the program included various activities with the aim of getting to know their new home and promoting social, cultural and academic integration. The students, accompanied by ISEP student ambassadors, made contact with academic groups, got to know the campus, visited the ISEP Museum, as well as having access to different workshops and lectures on mobility procedures, IT platforms, the challenges of living in a different country, safety, access to public health services, public transport, sports activities and, finally, a visit to the city of Porto.

ISEP has made a strong commitment to internationalization, a strategic action by our School that has increasingly proved to be an asset for students and institutions, enabling personal and academic development and promoting international cooperation.
