ISEP signs cooperation agreement with Hanoi University of Science and Technology

Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) and the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), in Vietnam, have signed an official cooperation agreement during an online signing ceremony, chaired by the President of ISEP, Maria João Viamonte and the Dean of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Jean-Marc Lavest.

The cooperation between ISEP and USTH began under the framework of the Erasmus International Credit Mobility (ICM) project, and the intention for a deeper cooperation relationship was made official last October 16th with the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding. The scope of the cooperation agreement is to promote mutual collaboration for the exchange of faculty, researchers, and students, organization of joint degree and research programs, reinforcing the importance of internationalization and creation of the necessary framework for the development of joint cooperation projects.

Jean-Marc Lavest expressed his satisfaction with the new milestone in this partnership, saying: “The two Institutions have many similarities, such as the fact that they follow the Bologna process for obtaining a degree, and that they have strong relations with the main engineering institutions in France.”.

In the words of Maria João Viamonte, “ISEP is enthusiastic about the joint research projects with USTH, as well as the academic visits that will follow. This agreement will create a multicultural and multilingual training environment for both Institutions.”. The President of ISEP wishes that, through this cooperation, the academic programs and mobility of students and staff, from both Institutions, will increase and reinforce internationalization.
