New Technological Approaches in the
Pedagogical Praxis of Higher Education
This conference is aimed at bringing together teachers, researchers and students of Higher Education, and all who are interested in the subject of Academic Success in Higher Education. In this first edition of CASHE (Conference: Academic Success in Higher Education) we will focus on the theme of New Technological Approaches in the Educational Praxis of Higher Education, for which we will gather a series of communications of great importance in the field, and that show real implications for the students' success at this education level.
Throughout two days, at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, there will be a scientific program divided into invited or submited communications, practical work sessions, and posters. We will have a presence of relevant speakers with well knowing research and practice in the field.
We want it to be a space for discussion and exchange of ideas, and with presentation of research results and practices that contribute to Academic Success in Higher Education.
REGISTRATION CLOSES ON MONDAY, 11TH FEBRUARY, 2019.
Apart from the usual sessions with communications and posters, we would like to highlight the work sessions, which are discussion groups at a roundtable, where participants can get together to discuss a topic that has been previously set. Participating in these discussion groups is dependent on availability set at the time of the enrolment for the conference. From each work session, a document will be compiled, containing conclusions from the discussions and which will be presented in a plenary session at the end of the conference.
For this edition we highlight the following themes of the work sessions:
- OPEN LEARNING.
- GAMIFICATION IN EDUCATION.
- PERSONALIZED AND ADAPTIVE LEARNING SYSTEMS.
- AUTOMATIVE STUDENT ASSESSMENT.
- TRAINING THE FUTURE TEACHERS.
This conference is associated with the Journal of Education Sciences. The authors who wish to do so, may submit an article to the special issue of this journal under the theme of Engineering Education and Technological/Professional Learning. Deadline for submissions will be April 30th.
