Tony Woods is Managing Director of Midland Stel Reinforcement Supplies. Tony has over 27 years’ experience within the construction industry with particular emphasis on reinforced concrete structures and frames.

Tony’s ambition is for Midland Steel Reinforcement Supplies to be the best in the business. This is being achieved through his passion, drive and innovative nature. Being a Finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, 2006 gave him further encouragement to embrace new methods’ procedures and investment within the Group.

In recent years Tony has established and developed a highly skilled Technical Team focused on Value Engineering, rationalisation of reinforcement with a focus on Collaborative Working enabling the team to identify significant ways of saving of time, money, materials and other resources. This includes pre-fabricated rebar where appropriate. This is particularly applicable on large scale projects with repetitive elements, tight timelines and restrictions. This is achieved using Tekla BIM and other state of the art software. Midland Steel Reinforcement Supplies are BIM Level 2 Task certified since January 2017.
