SESSION:  “A implementação BIM: a experiência Espanhola e os primeiros passos em Portugal”

SPEAKER: Sergio Muñoz Gómez

Sergio Muñoz Gomez is a Telecommunications Engineer by the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia since 2000 and is in his last year of PHD.

His professional career is linked to R&D&I activities related to the Interoperability between stakeholders, processes and tools. He has been the Head of Innovation Division in AIDICO (Construction Technological Institute) and currently is CEO and co-founder in Laurentia Technologies.

He has been during the last 5 years the Chair of buildingSMART Spanish Chapter since its foundation in 2012 working for the BIM implementation in Spain.

Currently he is the General Manager of buildingSMART Spanish Chapter.

He has written several papers about BIM methodology, and is an active member of some committees, such as the Spanish BIM Commission, es.BIM, the Catalonian BIM Commission, CCF or the standardization committee UNE-CT41-SC13, being currently the its President.

Moreover, he participates as a teacher in several Universities and Academies.
