Why Development Practices?

The National Strategy for Sustainable Development defines strategic guidelines to high-level qualifications for a sustainable and competitive economy, efficient and preventive management of the environment and natural resources and a more active role of Portugal in the cooperation to global sustainability, among others. On the other hand, P.PORTO is an institution that intends to train professionals with high proficiency, scientific and technical, in a broad diversity of qualification profiles, promoting the creation and diffusion of scientific knowledge in a commitment with the country’s sustainable development. As presented the new degree in Development Practice goals is aligned with the national and institution goals.

Did you know that the Master in Development Practices?

  • The Global Association of the Master’s in Development Practice (MDP) programs is a network of 37 MDP programs www.mdpglobal.org;
  • Is an innovative and interdisciplinary training and constitutes an alternative to the monothematic traditional training that is not following present requirements;
  • Furthermore, it is based in knowledge areas where the 8 Schools of Polytechnic of Porto institutions have already demonstrated to have competences;
  • Field training experiences that provide students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of integrated development approaches within the real-world context.
